Περιγραφή θέσης
Το Entropika Lab είναι μία νέα ομάδα αρχιτεκτόνων και σχεδιαστών που δημιουργούν διαδραστικές εμπειρίες, παιχνίδια, εικαστικές εγκαταστάσεις και έπιπλα. Χρησιμοποιώντας αισθητήρες και μικροεπεξεργαστές ενσωματωμένους μέσα σε χώρους και αντικείμενα, σχεδιάζουμε και φτιάχνουμε κατασκευές που διαμορφώνουν συμμετοχικές εμπειρίες στο χώρο, κυρίως μέσα από φως και ήχο. Σε αυτή τη φάση αναπτύσσουμε ένα έπιπλο-παιχνίδι,το Playstools, που έχει κερδίσει ένα διαγωνισμό και έχουμε ήδη αναπτύξει δύο πρωτότυπα. Τους επόμενους δύο μήνες θα χρειαστεί να το ολοκληρώσουμε για να μπορεί να λειτουργήσει πλήρως και να εκτεθεί. Ταυτόχρονα σχεδιάζουμε μία απλή εκδοχή που θα γίνει έπιπλο.

Απαιτήσεις θέσης
Για τις ανάγκες του project  Playstools ψάχνουμε Creative Technologist δηλαδή άτομο με background στη ρομποτική/ αυτοματισμό, computer science ή και αυτοδίδακτο (αλλά με υψηλή τεχνική κατάρτιση) πάνω σε ηλεκτρονικά κυκλώματα και προγραμματισμό για τουλάχιστον 5 χρόνια μέχρι σήμερα. Χρειάζεται να γνωρίζει καλά Arduino, το στήσιμο ασύρματου δικτύου και την επικοινωνία συσκευών μέσω web browser. Χρειάζεται να έχει γνώση από Arduino peripherals και άλλων επεξεργαστών που λειτουργούν με Arduino. Επίσης είναι καλό να αντιλαμβάνεται πώς λειτουργεί η διαδικασία του design δηλαδή μέσα από δοκιμές και κύκλους εργασιών και στο συγκεκριμένο πρότζεκτ μέσω playtesting. Ψάχνουμε κάποιον/α που να έχει θετική διάθεση και να αγαπάει αυτό που κάνει γιατί είναι καλό για την την ομάδα.  Χρειάζεται να μιλάει ελληνικά και αγγλικά άπταιστα.

Τι προσφέρουμε
Υπολογίζουμε η συνεργασία να κρατήσει για ένα μήνα και θα υπάρξει συγκεκριμένη αμοιβή. Αν ταιριάξουμε, θέλουμε να συνεχίσουμε και ο συνεργάτης μας να αναλάβει το R&D κομμάτι της μικρής μας ομάδας η οποία εν τω χρόνω θα παράγει κι άλλα έργα. Αν συνεχίσουμε τη συνεργασία η βάση θα είναι στην Αθήνα και θα περιλαμβάνει ένα με δύο ταξίδια το χρόνο. Επειδή δουλεύουμε με funding και αναθέσεις μέσω διαγωνισμών μεταξύ άλλων, θα συνεχίσουμε να αναπτύσσουμε τις δράσεις μας ανάλογα με τη διαθεσιμότητά μας.

Position description
Entropika Lab is a team of architects and designers who design interactive experiences, games, art installations and furniture. Using sensors and microprocessors embedded within structures and objects we shape participatory, spatial experiences, by adding light and sound. At this moment we are developing a spatial game, Playstools, which has won a contest. We have already developed two prototypes and over the next two months we will need to complete it in order to make it fully operational and start showing it. At the same time we are designing a simple version in order to launch a piece of furniture.

Position requirements
For the purpose of Playstools we are looking for a Creative Technologist. You need to have a background in robotics/ automation, computer science or be self-taught (but with high technical training) on ​​electronics and programming for at least five years up to now. You need to master Arduino, wireless networks based on Arduino and make devices communicate via web browser. You need to be able to work with Arduino peripherals and similar boards. It is also helpful to understand how a design studio operates, through iterations, tests and in this project through playtesting. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and passionate with what they do because it’s beneficial for the team. You need to speak greek and english fluently. (Ok we might overlook greek if we are happy with the rest).

What we offer
This position is for a month and there will be a specific fee. If we match and decide to contιnue our collaboration, we will ask the candidate to take charge of our R&D section and the work will be project based. Τhe position will be in Athens and it will require one or two trips abroad per year (maybe one or two more depending on the amount of projects we get). We work with funding and commissions through competitions among other, so the amount of projects we get depends on the team availability and commitment which we are establishing as we go.
